Awaji Castle Museum
The collections of artifacts contain the works of ethnic art, relics, etc. For example there are Awaji puppet balled dramas, and Minpei pottery.

Itsukushima-jinja Shrine
A well known shrine as Benten-san is widely believed to guarantee the safety of shipping, business, and match making. The Benten Festival is held from November 21 for 3 days. The festival is the biggest festival on the Island. Admission fee:free

Teramachi-Suji
When the Sumoto Castle was built, a lot of temples were built along the Chigusagawa River to prevent enemies from invading the castle and the castle town. The lines of temples still remain now and are called Teramachi Suji.

Sumoto Hachiman-Jinja Shrine(Kintenkaku)
Originally this was built as a guesthouse of the Sumoto clan in the Sumoto Castle. The building was moved to the shrine in the Taisho period. The crest of the Hachisuka’s ,卍, mark the building in many places.

The ruins of Sumoto Castle
Its castle tower is the first one reconstructed in 1928. Rare plant grew in the mountain. The plant, Shirominoyabumurasaki, is a tree that produces rare white fruit.
